Heating, bathrooms, boiler servicing
Case studies
The following are outlines of the way we work on heating and bathroom installations.
Bathrooms
Please click here for details of pre sales work with you in choosing your bathroom. A full design service is offered if required so that the bathroom is planned and items can be ordered by us as required by you.
Initially, dust sheets are used and the floor and any items staying within the bathroom are covered up. Any existing bathroom suite and tiles are ripped out with the water being isolated as necessary. |
 |
 |
The first stage of installation of the bathroom is to install all pipe work and general plumbing work and plastering as necessary. Then comes the first fix of electrics and wiring.
Unusually, we tile the bathroom all bar one row of tiles before the bath or shower tray goes in, so we do not climb over bath whilst working on tiling. This helps to keep the possibility of damage to a minimum. We then install the bath and tray finish the last row of tiles onto it. |
|
The sanitary ware is not put in until the last moment, again to avoid marking and other damage. Once the sanitary wear is installed the second fix is carried out, with silicone to complete the job. We then tile floor if necessary.
In general with a bathroom installation, you are without hot water to that room for the maximum of one day.
We like to keep customers for life and therefore keep the disruption down to the minimum possible. Click here to contact us. |
Full central heating installation or boiler replacement
The start of the process involved an initial survey of premises.
If necessary, recommendations for boiler change or economically viable improvements in the efficiency of the system are made. For a new installation, a boiler and appropriate radiators are recommended, based upon the size and layout of the house. |
 |
|
With an existing system, we drain down the system and then remove the existing boiler and cylinder. The old radiators are removed as necessary and we hang new radiators and mount the boiler. |
 |
Any associated pipe work and electrical work required is installed.
Once all pipe work is complete, we carry out full water and heat testing. The system is then flushed as necessary, a rust inhibitor added and the system refilled.
Once the process is completed, all gas test and emission tests are carried out, the log book completed and report send to CORGI. |
|
CORGI then send a certificate to the customer within a week of completion. Click here to contact us. |
